Skin Care
While working or playing outside in Vermont’s warm sun-filled days of summer, it’s important to take a few simple precautions to reduce the risk of developing skin cancer. Skin cancer rates are on the rise everywhere, especially in Vermont, which has one of the highest rates of new melanoma diagnoses in the US.
And skin protection is not just a summertime thing, (nor should you be deceived by one of our too-regular cloudy days; you can get burned just as bad!). Whether you’re hiking or biking on a crisp fall day, skiing the backcountry in winter, or out prepping your garden in early spring, it’s always a good time to be sun-wise.
