Singer-songwriter Aimee Mann performs with bassist Paul Bryan, keyboardist Jamie Edwards, and drummer Sebastian Aymanns. Before launching into "High on Sunday 51" from her 2002 release Lost in Space, Mann welcomes the audience with her unique sense of humor. "Let me cheer you up with some songs of depression, heartache and dysfunction," she says. Mann's career stretches back to the 1980s when her new wave band, 'Til Tuesday, gained popularity on MTV with their hit song "Voices Carry." She released her first solo album, Whatever, in 1993, and has been going strong ever since. "For ten years I've had my own label and released my own records, so it's been very freeing to not have to worry about pleasing anybody else," says Mann. Mann's successes include Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe nominations for the song "Save Me" from the film soundtrack for Magnolia. Mann performs a poignant version of "Save Me" along with another song from the film, "Wise Up". Her performance at Infinity Hall includes a variety of songs from past albums, as well as several new songs. INFINITY HALL LIVE captures Mann in the perfect atmosphere for her poetic lyrics and witty stage banter. The intimate performance of this accomplished artist is not to be missed.
